“PICNIC IN THE PARK”
Saturday- JULY 4TH, 2026
Cambria’s American Legion Post 432 is proud to announce the upcoming 4th of July, Picnic-in-the-Park celebration at Shamel Park.
It is time to SAVE THE DATE. The event will begin with the Opening Ceremony at 11 am at the flagpole and feature the games, events, music, and food we all have come to appreciate. The community and visitors clearly have expressed their enthusiasm for our 4th of July festivities, so we look forward to your attendance. This year’s event will run until 5 pm which will provide plenty of time to travel to see one of the other community fireworks displays.
THE TROLLEY WILL BE RUNNING ON THE 4TH OF JULY-
ROUTE WILL BE MOONSTONE /MAIN STREET NO SET STOPS-JUST WAVE.
TAKING THE TROLLEY DOES HELP, AS PARKING CAN BE LIMITED. THANK YOU

We are in full planning mode for the 4th of July Picnic in the Park! This year marks the 250th Anniversary of our country, and we are expecting a huge turnout.
We are asking all of you, your friends, your significant others and other family members — to come out and help make this event a success. It’s a BIG undertaking, but many hands make light work. There are plenty of tasks to fill and lots of shifts available throughout the day. The work is easy, we just need volunteers willing to lend a hand.
Please sign up for a shift if you can. Your help and support are greatly appreciated, and together we can make this a fantastic celebration for our community!

We encourage you to consider sponsorship. Your contribution makes a difference and helps us to continue this community tradition.

MAKE TIME FOR PIE – IN CRUST WE TRUST
LINN’S PIE EATING CONTEST

Yes, we’re doing our famous Pie Eating Contest at the park this Fourth! We will be determining all the particulars very soon, as we must decide on age groupings, etc., but suffice it to say, this of all years is one to celebrate and acknowledge. We feel that we should be an active participant to the extent possible in our town celebration of the birth of our country, and we are excited to help others, townsfolk and visitors, to enjoy the day.
Participants will need to be present to enroll and sign in. We look forward to having a memorable day with all who attend this worthwhile and fun time together. Bring your family and friends and be a part! There will be music, contests, lots of food and beverages and we hope beautiful weather for a day of fun and activity.

“I’m thrilled to be part of Cambria’s historic July 4th celebration honoring America’s 250th birthday! As a local DJ, I’m passionate about helping grow nightlife and community events throughout the Central Coast.” -American Gladiator & DJ.
Come enjoy the dance group of Ballet Folklorico
Ballet Folklorico Tradiciones de mi Tierra is a Cambria non-profit dance group that consists of Cambria youth. Taught by mother and daughter; Carmen and Karolina, they strive to not only teach dance steps and choreography but what it means to be apart of community and tradition. They are very excited to bring a show demonstrating traditional dances and attire from Nuevo Leon, Veracruz, and Jalisco!

Come join us !
Under the guidance of Cambria Scarecrows volunteers, children will create and decorate mini fish scarecrows — free! They'll get to take their aquatic creatures home.

Bounce House provided by
Lions Club of Cambria
The Lion's Club of Cambria pulls out its large Bounce House for several major events during the year. These include the Pinedorado Festival on Labor Day Weekend, Camp Reach for the Stars, the Kid's Christmas Party, and the 4th of July at Shamel Park.
( It can also be rented for other community events!)
The Bounce House is a favorite for small children who love to " bounce-on-air" in the inflated rubber "house" with walls. Parents and grandparents love to see their kids bouncing--and safely, with supervision!
Please come out on the 4th of July at Shamel Park, from 11am to 5pm.
This year, due to the generosity of a local donor
Admission is FREE!
